nothing major happened this weekend.
unless buying a church pew is a major deal.
it wasn't an impulse decision--unless an impulse decision is buying something in the first 2 minutes of the sale because the price was really right and you knew if you didn't buy it any of the other 3 people were going to carpe diem it right up.
hey, it was on my bucket list of items to thrift.

bucket list:
14)church pew

anybody want the pew? i've already put it on craigslist. (i also have this, this and this on craigslist right now too -- if you want one of these thing and are out of the area, talk to me, maybe we can figure out a way for me to get them to ya)
one of my favorite finds of the day! a puzzle from 1983. way to be all equal rights, 1983!
the sesame street books are the beginning of a collection (i think there are 26 of them). the band-aid tin is from 1985. and there were sealed band-aids in it. it's ok to use them, right? i hope so. i used one already. my finger didn't fall off, so i think i'm ok.
these little buggers were pretty cool. the top has sheep, the bottom, a circus. they will make a nice decoration bit for whoever buys them from our shop. i got the green chalkboard saturday too. i love me some chalkboards.
aaaaaand, to round out my saturday, a box of patterns with some sweet azz images on them. not sure what i will do with these (or the other 500-600 i have) but for the price, i couldn't leave them sit. i knew that much.
what's on your bucket list for thrifting? ie...what will you stop everything for, alter plans for...just so you can say..."i just purchased a _____." or "i have a _____ for sale."
linking up to apron thrift girl's thrift share monday! also linking up to what's for dinner, mom?
Oh my, you bought some of my favorite things! I love the patterns and the little circus and sheep hangers are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteHaha on the Cornhuskers Council patch!! =)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Oh wow, a church pew. Definitely bucket list material. Hmm, I've never thought about it. I really couldn't get myself to buy HUGE items even if the price is right, mainly 'cause I don't know how to get them home. Eek! Maybe a really, really old book from the 1500s or something. That I could carpe diem, alright! Or an airplane.
ReplyDeleteI totally want to buy a card catalog some day. I've bid on one, but the prices are always too high for me. Someday, I'm gonna slip one by!!
ReplyDelete(We live in an old church that we remodeled. It came with A LOT of church pews. We kept two. The rest were sold to a guy who chain sawed them in half on the front lawn. I'm sure our new neighbors were startled by this. He planned to make them shorter and resell them.)
