not for sale: ash tray full of cigarette butts

i hadn't been to one of my *secret* golden nugget stops in a while. and since brent wasn't able to go to any auctions this weekend, it was my duty to make thee er, sacrifice and head to my tucked away nugget of a store and seek out new old inventory. oh, the saaacrifice. <-- sarcasm
so gaudy and head-ache-a-makin, yet so fun and perfect for our shop. there is just a lot going on with this purse. but it is very well made and really, no signs of wear. i imagine the previous owner made or purchased this because it was lively and fun -- and when it came right down to using it, realized she was more a plain black leather purse sort of dame. (i can relate)
seriously, what is it about this color? i love this blue to the moon and back.

the tin was sitting on a tub full of chinese checkers boards. it was in a part of the store where i wasn't sure if it was actually stuff for sale, stuff just in, stuff leaving, or who knows what. this place has grayed any lines as to what is for sale and what isn't. i am assuming the ash tray of cigarette butts on some merch in the back of the store isn't for sale. just guessing.
the buy of the day (even the month, perhaps). we had a children's bible just like this one when were were, uh, children. if i remember right, it has a horrifically evil drawing of the devil --and that's still what i picture him like today. anyway, the price was $25 for this book. super steep for me considering i wasn't going to sell it, i was going to keep it for dust to collect on it. but. then i saw a sign that said "all vendor 40/41 books, $2" -- surely not! no, it cannot be!...luck like this is so foreign to me. so foreign in fact, i left the book on the shelf to ask when i checked out. and, yes. it turns out any book from that vendor was two bucks. people. that's a 92% savings!
and finally, a few fun cook books to eventually put in the 262.

not a hugely successful trip to this gem, but i'm glad i went.
on an unrelated note, how do you like my blog face lift? and...we hit 2700 sales in our etsy shop yesterday!
